The "dawgger" and the "dawggee"

About a year ago, I met this really cool guy somewhere in Ga.  We become friends(I know you were expecting this..lol) and started whatsapping, facebooking, ''vibering''( i wonder if is a real word) and all the other ways we communicate these days, thanks to technology.

He told me his life history, failed relationships, annoying clients, future plans, etc etc....I advised him, encouraged him, chastised him....
Some months into our friendship, i noticed he hardly replied my messages, or returned my calls, I attributed this to his really tight work schedule. Mehnnn... was I wrong!! Chale I remember sending him a message on WhatsApp, and the reply I got eh.....3s3 w'ani!!!

Apparently, everything was going on well with my friend, and when I say everything I mean everything, so sake of that he dwagged me...I wondered why he did that in the first place and in my "wondering,"  I realized that is how we treat God (myself included) more times!!!

Just like my friend, when we face some challenges in life, that is when we get so "tight" and "right" with God ( I dey lie?).
These are the moments, we  study His word, pray and fellowship with Him. These are the moments, we attend every prayer meeting, every all night, mid week service etc..etc.
But when God in His love, turn things around for us, we dawg Him just like that!!!
We rush to work without giving Him a high five, we rush through our quiet time because we don't want to miss the bus, we find an excuse not to attend prayer meetings, church service, etc etc.

God will never dawg us, if He does that we will not be able to handle that...cos it will be a major dawgging paaa..worst than your fiance/fiancee calling your wedding off!!

If you think I am lying, ask the Israelites what happened to them, when they turned their backs on Him, or  ask Him to treat you, the way you treat Him....lol.

I think God taught me a lesson, using my friend as an example...I realized He gets hurt when we dwag Him at a point in our lives, especially during the good times.. He loves spending time with us always...and I think is really cool to have Him around....I learnt my lesson the hard way, I want you to learn it the easy way....so why don't you holla at Him every single day?

Keep His friendship, don't "dawg" Him when everything is so great....if keeping a friendship with God is quite a task for you, ask the Holy Spirit to help you....
  :)
